We start this week out by replacing the window in the kitchen, the old window was a single pane wood frame fixed window, and we put in a vinyl slider.
We then replaced the 2 basement windows on the east side of the house. Again they were the original wood frame single pane glass, and we installed vinyl sliding windows.
Next we begin to remove the old insul-brick from the front of the house, at the basement level.
The basement is constructed from brick, and the brick needs some work as some are crumbly and the mortar is cracked and falling out.
We need to repoint the brick face, we also find some whole bricks in the garage, so we can replace some of the more damaged bricks entirely.
Once we have the brick all repointed and solid, we decide to finish the brick surface using stucco
