Week One

 Aug 28th- Sept 3, 2020

Today we took possession of the house that we are going to flip. The majority of the work is going to be done in the kitchen and bathroom, as they are original and dated.

In the bathroom: new flooring, update the tile, refinish the tub new vanity, enlarge the bathroom and create a new entrance off the living room to name a few of the items.

In the Kitchen, we will be putting in all new cabinets, new stainless steel appliances, opening the wall between kitchen and living and adding a island.

We will paint everything inside and out, new flooring throughout, new front stairs, some repairs to the front and back skirting, new shingles on the back porch some new windows and fix any other problems we encounter as we work through this project.

We start inside by taking out the old rolled vinyl flooring in the kitchen, and removing the door trim on the wall we will be taking out.

We then start taking apart the bathroom and sizing up the design plan

We also need to look at repairing the back porch roof, as it has been leaking and there is a few issues we need to address right away.

The previous owner has covered the entire porch area with a tarp, and strapped it down. We remove the tarp and then we can assess the situation.

The fascia board is completely rotted as is the soffit plywood, then we discover that there is actually a whole in the roof that has been leaking for years.

We start by removing the shingles, and replacing the rotted fascia board, the roof trusses look fine, but we need top replace all of the rotton plywood on the deck of the roof.

Now that all the wood is good, we can install new shingles and flashing

We then install metal fascia & soffit to protect and enclose it all in.

The porch roof is fixed.
